Le secrétariat du SCAR annonce la parution de la newsletter de février 2021.
Introduction from the Executive Director
Welcome to the February edition of the SCAR newsletter. It’s been a busy month in spite of the widespread impacts of Covid-19 and lockdown.
We have just announced the recipients of our 2020 Visiting Scholars. The scheme is directed at scientists and academics more than five years after completing their PhD. A fresh round of applications for the 2021 Visiting Scholarships will open later this year.
Our groups and programmes have been active too. Many meetings are held online, such as the recent kick-off workshop of the new INStabilities & Thresholds in ANTarctica Scientific Research Programme (INSTANT), or the upcoming 5th International ANGWIN workshop organised by the Antarctic Gravity Wave Instrument Network Action Group.
You can now download the latest version of Quantarctica, a collection of datasets that lets you explore, import and visualise Antarctic data. Also make sure to have a look our latest SCAR Bulletin on Anthropogenic Noise in the Southern Ocean.
As always, you can find a range of news from the wider community, opportunities and upcoming events. Please get in touch with us firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to share your news or photos with us.
